Aluminium Profile Cutting Calculator

1. Set the saw kerf. The kerf is the width of your blade, taken off once for every piece.
2. Add a line for each size. Choose the Häfele Gola profile and finish, or choose Other profile and type a name, then a length and a quantity. Gola profiles use Häfele’s bar lengths; other profiles use the bar length you set. Lines with the same profile and finish are cut from the same bars; different profiles or finishes never share a bar.
3. Read the results. You get the bars to order for each profile with its Häfele article number, the pieces from each bar, the offcut left on each, and the waste.
4. Print or download. Print the cutting plan to take to the saw, or download it as a CSV for your order.

The Häfele Gola range

• System A: under wall units, 3.9 m (4.1 m with an LED slot).
• System B Plus: under worktops, 4.1 m.
• System C Plus: between drawers and doors, 4.1 m.
• System D: vertical, between doors and as an end profile, 2.67 m, plus a 580 mm profile between a cabinet and an oven.
• System E: vertical, between doors and as an end profile, 2.4 m, plus a 580 mm oven cavity profile.

Most come in silver, bronze and brushed brass or copper anodised, and graphite, matt white and matt black powder coated, and some in raw oak veneer. Trim caps and corner connectors are ordered separately.

How the bars are packed

The calculator sorts the pieces longest first and drops each into the first bar with room for it plus a saw cut. This method, first fit decreasing, gets within a bar of the best possible answer on almost every real job, and it keeps your long offcuts together so they are useful later. Your list is saved in your browser, so it is still there if you come back.
