About DTJ Interiors
Cut on the machine, checked by hand.
DTJ Interiors makes bespoke fitted furniture for kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and home offices, through to home bars, media walls and one-off custom builds. Every cabinet is cut, edged, assembled and finished under one roof at our own unit in Long Eaton.
Our workshop
From full sheet to finished cabinet.
Board comes in flat and cabinets go out built. Everything in between happens on our own machines in Long Eaton, so we control the accuracy of every part — every carcass is square, and a run of units sits flat, lines up and closes properly on site.
How it works

Design
Each job is drawn in PolyBoard, our CNC design software, which produces a nested cutting file for every sheet.

Cut
The Volter CNC router nests and cuts every part from full sheets of board. Each part is labelled for its cabinet as it comes off the bed.

Edge
Panels go straight through our SCM edge bander, which applies and trims the edging on every visible edge.

Assemble
Carcasses are built on purpose-built assembly benches, checked for square and fitted with their hardware.

Protect
Finished cabinets are wrapped and protected, ready for delivery or collection.
Stock on site. Board, edging and hardware are racked and ready, so a confirmed order goes into production the same week. Typical lead times: cut & edge 5 working days, wardrobe cabinets 1 to 2 weeks, kitchens 2 to 3 weeks.

We started out supplying kitchens and bedrooms to landlords and property developers. Today we make for kitchen and bedroom fitters, joiners, kitchen studios, interior designers, builders and homeowners across the East Midlands and further afield.
For the trade
Send a cutting list and take delivery of cut-and-edge components, flat-pack carcasses ready to assemble on site, or assembled units. See trade.
For homeowners
Send us your room sizes or a plan and we will quote for made-to-measure units. We supply rather than fit, and can put you in touch with joiners we work with.
