Terms of sale.

1. Who we are

2. Quotes and prices

We quote each job from our current price list, based on the sizes, drawings or cutting list you send. Made-to-measure sizes are priced on the same basis as our standard range, agreed at quotation. Prices are in pounds sterling; trade prices are exclusive of VAT.

3. Payment terms

By making payment or accepting the invoice, the customer accepts the invoice, quotation, drawings, specifications, finishes and terms.

Where staged payments are agreed, 50% is due to confirm the order and the remaining 50% upon factory completion, before delivery, collection, fitting or release. We take payment by BACS transfer or card. There is no minimum order.

Production will only begin once the required payment has cleared and the drawings, measurements, finishes and specifications have been approved in writing.

Goods remain DTJ Interiors Limited’s property until paid in full.

4. Measurements and made-to-measure goods

All measurements supplied or approved by the customer are the customer’s responsibility. Everything is made to the sizes, decors and edging on your approved order, drawings or cutting list, so please check them before you approve them.

5. Cancellations and changes

Cancellations or changes made after materials have been ordered or production has started may be chargeable. An order can’t be cancelled once cutting has started.

Made-to-measure goods are made to your specification, so the 14-day cancellation period that applies to many online and distance sales does not apply to them.

6. Lead times

Lead times are estimates only and begin from the later of cleared payment, order confirmation, and final written approval of all specifications. Typical lead times are 5 working days for cut & edge, 1 – 2 weeks for wardrobe cabinets and 2 – 3 weeks for kitchens. See lead times for other products.

7. Delivery and collection

Unless delivery has been agreed in writing prior to receipt of payment, all orders are collection only from DTJ Interiors Limited upon receipt of full payment. You can collect from Unit 5 Atlas Mills, Birchwood Avenue, Long Eaton NG10 3ND, Monday to Friday between 8am and 4:30pm.

Where delivery is agreed, delivery anywhere in the East Midlands is £99 + VAT; further afield we price delivery per job.

8. Checking your order

Please check your order when it is delivered or collected. Any damage or missing items must be reported to us the same day.

9. Cut & edge

Parts are cut to ±0.5mm. The smallest part we cut is 100 × 100mm and the largest is 2750 × 2020mm.

10. Guarantee

Cabinets made by DTJ Interiors are guaranteed for 5 years against faults in materials and workmanship. See our guarantee for what is covered and how to claim.

11. Late payment

Overdue invoices may be subject to interest and reasonable debt recovery costs where legally applicable. For business-to-business transactions, statutory interest may be charged in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation.

12. Your rights

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
