How to use it
Starting out as an apprentice? Begin with the essentials in measuring and marking, hand tools and saws, then add power tools as the work demands. A good tape, square, pencil and sharp chisels will do more for your work than any cordless kit.
Questions
At the very least: a tape, combination square, spirit level, marking gauge, sharp chisels, a hand saw, a block plane, a hammer, screwdrivers, a cordless drill driver and impact driver, a mitre saw and a circular or track saw. The list breaks this down by trade task.
A worktop jig and router for mason's mitres, a jigsaw for cut-outs, a long level, a laser, a multi-tool, clamps, hinge jig and cup bit, and a good supply of shims and fixings.
