Inside the workshop.

Every cabinet, panel and door we sell is made in our factory at Atlas Mills in Long Eaton. Here is how a job goes through the workshop, from drawing to delivery.

How a job is made

From drawing to delivery.

1 · Draw

Drawn in PolyBoard

Every job is drawn in PolyBoard, which produces the cutting lists and the files for the CNC.

2 · Cut

Nested and cut on the CNC

The CNC nests every part on full sheets of board, cutting with very little waste and drilling for hinges, shelves and fixings.

3 · Edge

Edged to match

Every visible edge is banded on our edgebander. Curves and shaped parts are edged by hand.

4 · Drill

End drilled

Panel ends are drilled on our end drill for dowels and fixings, so cabinets go together square.

5 · Build

Built and checked

Cabinets are assembled on the workshop floor, checked against the drawings and labelled for your room.

6 · Deliver

Wrapped and sent out

Finished jobs are wrapped and loaded for delivery, or ready for you to collect.

CNC nesting machine for cutting and drilling every part from full sheets
Edgebander for straight edges, plus a portable edgebander for curves
End drill for dowel and fixing holes in panel ends
Extraction and compressed air throughout the workshop
PolyBoard for cabinet design and cutting lists, and VCarve Pro for doors, panels and shaped work
